AI Transparency
PlainTerms uses artificial intelligence to help users understand complex documents such as contracts, agreements, and legal texts. This page explains how our AI systems work, what they do, and their limitations.
How PlainTerms Uses AI
PlainTerms analyzes documents using modern artificial intelligence models designed to interpret written language. The system identifies important clauses, obligations, risks, and key sections within documents.
The goal of PlainTerms is to help users better understand complex documents more quickly and easily.
AI Providers
PlainTerms uses advanced AI models provided by trusted technology partners such as Anthropic. These models process document content to generate explanations and insights.
How Your Documents Are Processed
When you upload a document, it is temporarily stored in secure cloud storage and processed to generate an analysis. The document content may be securely transmitted to AI providers for processing.
After the analysis is completed, uploaded documents are automatically deleted from storage.
Training and Data Usage
PlainTerms does not use uploaded documents to train AI models. Documents are processed only to generate the requested analysis.
Limitations of AI
Artificial intelligence systems can sometimes produce incorrect or incomplete interpretations of documents. Although PlainTerms is designed to provide useful insights, the system may occasionally misinterpret clauses or overlook important details.
Users should carefully review their documents and not rely solely on AI-generated analysis.
Human Review
Analyses generated by PlainTerms are produced automatically by AI systems. No human lawyers review the analysis.
Our Commitment
We continuously work to improve the quality, reliability, and safety of our AI systems. Our goal is to provide users with helpful tools for understanding documents while being transparent about how the technology works.
